FOG System - Van Reijm

In collaboration with Luiten Greenhouses, FOG System installed a fogging system at Kwekerij Van Reijm of cumcubers cultivation across covering 12 hectares across 10 departments, using reverse osmosis water as the feed water.

  • Number of compartments: 10 compartments equipped with a fogging system

The advantages of high-pressure fogging in cucumber vegetable cultivation are:

  • Higher production and better growth
    Due to a stable climate, the stomata of the plant remain open, which improves photosynthesis and growth. This often leads to more and better fruits per m², especially in cucumber cultivation.

  • Less plant stress and a healthier crop
    With a better climate, plants experience less stress from heat or dry air. As a result, the leaves remain more active and fruit set becomes more reliable.
